1. Why do people attend Spiritualist centres - what sort of people are they>?
People attend for a number of reasons – simply seeking peace, satisfying their curiosity about the spirit world and looking for comfort following bereavement. |

2. Is anyone welcome to attend a Spiritualist centre - it all sounds very mysterious to me?
There is no mystery to what goes on at modern-day Spiritualists centres – and anyone, of any faith (or none at all!), can attend for free at any time. Always opening and closing meetings with a prayer to your god, most venues hold weekly sessions of clairvoyant demonstration. Christian Spiritualist churches run a regular Sunday service, plus healing and teaching sessions - for those wishing to learn more about Spiritualism. Special medium demonstrations are sometimes staged to raise centre funds. |

3. I thought Spiritualism was a cult.
Contrary to popular belief, spiritualism is NOT a sinister cult, meeting in darkened rooms to ‘call up the dead’, but an officially recognized religious movement with its own churches and ‘dog-collar-wearing’ ministers, who possess the same rights and privileges as other religions and recognise Jesus as a great healer – who indeed passes on his healing powers to modern-day healers. |

4. Isn't Spiritualism anti-Christian?
Spiritualism ISN’T anti-Christian – but a part of it - and has been with us since the beginning of time. Both the Old and New Testaments are full of psychic phenomena. Many of the great writings of the past contained gems of spiritual philosophy. Spiritualists also don’t discriminate against any other faith – indeed, people of many beliefs attend Spiritualist churches. |
